I remember my local mall when I was a kid. Several hallway branches to interesting stores, a food court that juggled ownership, a bookstore where I went to the launch party of... a series I no longer follow. It also had an arcade, with a bunch of games I didn't touch and a few progressively-more-broken pinball machines that gradually rotated out for titles I found gradually less interesting.
And yes, it's one of these malls now!
