Gawd everything about the physics and controls of KH repelled me, I'm right there with you on that one.

Now you actually kinda have me wondering how the FF cast vs the Inyouchuu monsters would go. Good or bad end!

since ive only read the first game in english, and the others aren't available, i guess i don't have much to go off of for headcanons, personally one of the things i liked about inyouchuu that i wasn't expecting to enjoy as much as i did was the dynamic between the characters. so I do think Mikoto and Yamato are cute together as they often bicker like an old married couple, but at the same time I thought Suis crush on Yamato was really cute and I kinda felt bad for her that it seemed like she doesn't have much of a chance with Yamato and Mikoto already getting along so well, but id like to think maybe she has a chance still. I also didn't know about the Mikoto and Sui stuff though, and so thats really cute to see, and its one of those things where i could see it being a thing too(do any of the later games have any scenes with the 2 of them together?) Personally at this point id say my ship would be yamato x sui x mikoto, all 3 of them, they should just go to some country where polygamy is legal XD. i kinda ended up feeling the same way about Setsuna, Kazusa, and Haruki by the end of WA2 lol. anyways i think the 3 of them have a great dynamic and are cute to see together. as for Kingdom Hearts, personally i like that series a lot, although they kinda lost me with Dream Drop Distance on 3DS and beyond. KH3 was maybe one of the most dissapointing games of all time, it was pretty bad. with that being said i agree with disney being trash, but thats not gonna stop me from still liking some of their older 2d animation, and as for KH it was never the Disney stuff that i was interested in so much as the characters that were unique to it like the organization members and whatnot. sadly the final fantasy side of the crossover is pretty underutilised although i always found the sephiroth fights to be really fun/challenging. oh and speaking of disney being trash they really ruined starwars for me, i know people don't like 1-3 but those at least still had some new ideas and imagination behind them(the podracers from episode 1 are awesome)

Although Yamato is MIA in Shoku (the sequel), the love triangle does kind of continue throughout the series. Sui was his childhood friend so they have some history, but in between the big gap he befriended Mikoto. The dynamic between haughty Mikoto and cute Sui with Yamato is pretty fun. I used to kind of hate him, wished I was him haha. Or his anime version isn't that interesting. But playing the JAST release finally made me like him, for being a perverted young Roshi and all. And like you said, the dynamic with him and the girls is fun. There tends to be some more females that fall for him along the way... this dork of all people gets the best girls? lol.

As for Mikoto x Sui... that is quite rare honestly. The series tends to put Takeru in the mix more, with her "situation" after the first game and continuing plot. But I love your idea of them having a poly threesome marriage hah.

What really kills me is how adorable Sui and Rinko are in the later games. But Rinko isn't in the anime OVA's and that's all still a untranslated mystery for me in ways. But it looks like Sui gets even cooler befriending her. So I desperately want more licensed and translated...

So I'm not settled on this, but I think it would be neat if whether any kids Yamato had were part-demon depended on what state their dad was in when he did the conceiving, and conversely it doesn't follow normal inheritance rules of genetics

So if Yamato is having tooth-rottingly sweet lovemaking with Mikoto like at the end of DHTBOS, then the child is a normal human (well, normal as someone with demon slayer parents can be). But if Yamato's inner demon is unleashed and he takes the nearest girl on a one-way trip to pound town, that kid is coming out pure oni.

That's a very interesting idea that actually does make sense. And I love to see my fic being used as an example!

Not to impose, but the headcanon came from imagining what might happen in your story's timeline if the other games in the series still happened. So there'd be the first kid Mikoto and Yamato had (the coin came up heads!), and then Etsu would happen and thus comes along kid number two.

Honestly, that's a good idea. I'm not sure if I'm continuing it as a series or not, but I've had a few ideas for a possible continuation. My friend IRL is totally on board with a sequel after I told him the second Inyouchuu takes place on an island. Context: he has actually gone to an island to do a pinball repair job!

The fact the girls he called to repair his pinball machines have powerful spiritual energy is a complete coincidence to him.

I had an idea where those two guys who gang up on Mikoto in the opening of the OVA are actually just trying to ask her how she gets such high scores on the game. It'd fit with all the innuendo chapter openers!

Half-Demon Yamato seems like it has a lot of potential and maybe it is expanded upon in Etsu, or the later games. The caveat being that Hayami didn't work on Etsu, but it was already established in the first game Yamato has some demon blood. Good news is we have some fan translations in the works for the games now, so we'll get to see Etsu's official game story someday.
