RE: Inyouchuu Lore Discussion - Ellie - 06-29-2026

If I could've offered any constructive criticism on this game based on the parts I've experienced so far, the first thing I'd have changed is to have the choices in a different order. Initially I had a ton of fun with talking out what option is most likely to result in a success, like a high-stakes puzzle with my little redhead's safety hanging in the balance... until I went back and realized the main route's good end is just "choose the second option every single time".

The second thing is honestly I wish there were neutral endings. Not the canon good ending where almost everyone gets out untouched, but also not the bad endings where someone or everyone becomes a seedbed for life and/or dies. You already read DHTBoS so you probably kind of get the idea where I'm coming from here. Someone gets captured, Inyouchuu things happen, but ultimately we're given a "last chance" choice that leads to the characters' escape (though potentially with physical and/or mental repercussions) and finding a way to win despite the setback.

[Also, edit: Just fixed the spoiler code for multiple spoilers in one paragraph, yay]

RE: Inyouchuu Lore Discussion - EchelonV - 06-29-2026

@lonesomebro: So I think you liked tentacles. Hehe, good choices. I'm envious of the big blue bug in Mikoto.  Big Grin Tongue

@Ellie: Good ideas there. Maybe hard to find in the nukige umbrella... but it seems like Shoku perhaps and other TB games could be more complex branching path wise. I think from like the 2010's and on with Kyou, the games and choices did get a bit simpler. At least, just going off my ability to 100% the games raw/untranslated got easier to navigate, but it was trickier to do so with 2000's VN's.

RE: Inyouchuu Lore Discussion - lonesomebro - 07-15-2026

So I looked at the light novel translation for Inyouchuu Shoku at this link (https://lightnovelstranslations.com/novel/inyouchuu-exorcisms-of-the-lewd-school/), and I'm not sure how much will be gained trying to glean more than the starting premise of each game from these.

Which isn't very suprising because the light novels function like the OVAs, where each series ends with the girls losing, only for the status quo to start out a-okay for them at the start of the next story.

I was skimming it to see what the sex scenes were, but from what I read and saw in the images, the twins don't even seem to show, nor does Meiouki (although some of the dialogue of the perverted men seems to suggest they worship him).

RE: Inyouchuu Lore Discussion - Ellie - 07-15-2026

I will say, I am very eager to learn the twins' story and see them properly in action. They seem to be such a major part of the rest of the series, it's a shame there's so little about them accessible in English. Seems like we have a race going on now: Which game teaches us Ouka and Kikuka's personalities first, the official Hanamaru! 2 localization by JAST, or the Inyouchuu Shoku fan translation by Kurehashi Aiko?

The twins play a small part in my current WIP fanfic, and I'm really going out on a limb with what little I know about them to try and make it canon accurate.

RE: Inyouchuu Lore Discussion - lonesomebro - 07-15-2026

Oooh, where do I learn more about the Shoku translation? I tried to google it, but I'm just getting the light novel I'd already looked at.

RE: Inyouchuu Lore Discussion - Ellie - 07-15-2026

There's nothing public about it yet. There's a sort of locked-down Discord server that I was invited into when the whole Inyouchuu fan community archive project began, and Aiko is still active in it. Some time ago he brought up the idea that he could just translate the games himself as long as someone was willing to commission him. I immediately jumped on it, pledging that I'd fund as much of it as necessary (though others have since offered to chip in), and after some technical issues getting the games running again, he started with the OG.

As far as I know, the current plan is to do the first three games, and from that point we'll likely propose doing more of them as well if he's willing to go that far. I will most absolutely be announcing this here on Inyouchuuverse upon release. Currently he is only translating the scripts, which I will be hosting here under the same pseudo-VN system I've been planning for fan works, but we're going to try and get something together for functioning patches for the games themselves to play in English.

speaking of JAST and Hanamaru 2! there was an announcement from them recently at some convention i think? that there are no new game announcements yet since they are working on finishing everything that was already announced in the past, hopefully this includes a lot of games we haven't heard anything about in awhile, like Hanamaru 2 and Djibril and... well im still holding out hope that they will release the Nitroplus title SUMAGA someday, although that doesn't seem too likely after all these years sadly.

RE: Inyouchuu Lore Discussion - EchelonV - 07-18-2026

Yeah, that news was kind of a sigh of a relief. Been two years on Hanamaru 2 and even longer on Djibril... we need some updates.

I'd seriously QC Hanamaru 2 for free if they were interested.

RE: Inyouchuu Lore Discussion - lonesomebro - 07-21-2026

So does anyone know what the actual plot events of Inyouchuu Goku are? I'm curious about what in particular happens in that game, because it's the only one that doesn't have some kind of non-game adaptation posted online that I can reference.

In particular, I looked at the CGs for it and there's two I'm wondering about the context of: one is Takeru with twin babies, and the other is Mikoto with a pink-haired baby.

Are these meant to be endings? Visions? I'm especially cuti

Right now the best I can find is this forum thread: [https://www.anime-sharing.com/threads/inyouchuu-%E6%B7%AB%E5%A6%96%E8%9F%B2-aojiru-fan-thread.532579/](url)

It might have some lore info buried in it.

RE: Inyouchuu Lore Discussion - NotImportant - 07-21-2026

Something to do on my day off! I will do a run through of Goku and get back to you.
