Video Games - TamazingRandom - 02-16-2026

Hi there everyone,

With the admin's permission I am opening a thread for video games. Right I'm slowly but steadily making it through Super Robot Wars Y. I'm also 200 hours in and nowhere near the end because they keep adding really sweet DLC.

I'm currently waiting on Danganronpa 2X2 to get a release date. I don't follow that many other releases as I'm super busy.

Though I do love beat'em ups and other co-op games. I have Marvel Cosmic, Shredder's Revenge, the Rifftrax game, Nintendo Switch Online, and Mario Kart 8 if we ever want to do some group gaming.

Co-op stuff sounds fun, I mainly play singleplayer stuff haha. Been playing Dark Souls 3 and replaying the Yakuza series, but I'm open to playing a bunch of stuff. I've also been stuck on Resident Evil 6 bc it just feels miserable to play alone.

Good stuff! RE6 was a one and done for me. That game is too long lmao. I am excited for RE9 but a little worrisome about how different the two campaigns could be, like is that balance going to work with one being pure action, the other more thriller? Guess we'll fine out. I'm a huge RE fan overall. RE2 (both versions), REmake, and RE4 (both versions) I like a lot. Honestly I like RE5 a lot too. lol

Big Souls fan. I just beat Nioh 3. It's very good, but I still think I like 2 best. But overall, Nioh has been my second favorite series in this space.

Last year, I beat AI Limit and was surprised that it was Chinese. I really liked it since it feels a bit desolate like Nier Automata's world and just had a really cool vibe with some sci-fi that's rare to see in Souls. It might not blow anyone away, but it's worth a look.

I'm going in a more Korean direction with my soulslikes lol, got Stellar Blade a few months ago, waiting for them to patch the pc version before I jump back in. It feels like there is a huge gaming push in China rn, not just gacha games anymore. That Wukong game last year was another soulslike and Where Winds Meet is an MMO that got a huge push a few months ago, feels like they want to be more mainstream.

I got 100% achievements in Stellar Blade, loved it! It's extremely well made. Love Eve hehe...
Also, Lies of P was excellent and also Korean. So yeah, I have a lot of faith in Korean devs getting into gaming. It's exciting...

China seems hit or miss, but there are some things on the horizon I'm excited about. Phantom Blade Zero and Tides of Annihilation, which looks more Devil May Cry. Those look cool to me.

Something about Wukong doesn't entice me much... the level design never sounded that great and it's just boss battles I guess haha. But I should check it out sometime.

Check this out, Limited Run games is going a collection of 8 and 16 bit Marvel games. The gem is definitely the X-Men arcade. But Captain America and the Avengers could be fun. I am also looking forward to trying the Spider-man and Venom games.

I get it, not into turn based combat or jrpgs as a whole tbh. I was crazy into Persona when I was in high school tho.

I feel like there's a joke we can make about the word "breed" here but I'm too tired to think of it lol
