Using the concept of transfering to and from demon subspace, a possibility established in Etsu, the agency establishes a link with a more nearby location to effectively teleport themselves there in person. Comparable to a Slipspace jump in the Halo series, or nether portal travel in Minecraft.
I realize it's a bit of a stretch, but well... time travel is canon. I'd argue this is less fantastical.

My point of comparison would be The Warp from Warhammer 40K

Complete with what I assume would be the threat of demonic violation if you mess up.

Absolutely a possibility! That outcome wasn't a plot point I had the time or interest to explore in this particular story, but it's a surefire excuse for some bug sex if you need it.

Ahh yes, "Ellie's Oddly Wholesome Fics," a thread posted by the person who once said she could never put the OMORI cast into a sexual situation because they're her babies and they need to be protected.

I still haven't started my playthrough yet (I will soon! I swear!), but I do know the broad strokes of the plot, and I'm guessing moving day is going to be delayed by quite a lot in this telling
