Post your headcanons!

Thinking back on when I mixed up Takeru and Yamato a little while back, and realizing a Takeru/Sui half-demon child might be more interesting than a Mikoto/Yamato one in a next-gen story.

I like to think their kid would end up similar to Rosine from Berserk

Another headcanon based on something someone said about a past version of the Black Cats comprised of Hatsune, Kyouku, and Momo:

Momo used to look like Momoko from Kowaku no Toki, but some incident with a demon has regressed her body to that of a child. Maybe to make it more unique, her reverse aging is actually continuous, and she needs to constantly use her massive reserve of spirit energy to age herself back up some. If she used her power too often for other things, she'd de-age into non-existence.

(quick addendum: when she ages herself back up, she's briefly a young adult again, during which time she immediately goes out and gets laid while she can)

Isn't it funnier to imagine Momo and Rinko types don't grow up much more physically though? Rinko has a boob complex haha.

Playthrough of Insects of Insemination is giving me thoughts that belong here more than in discussions of canon lore

First one: Plus side of next to no lore on the larger network of exorcists is that it leaves lots of room for speculation

Like the more extremist organizations that exist. Could that go both directions, where in addition to exorcists with zero tolerance for demons, there are also ones that only recruit people with demon heritage because they view pure humans as too weak?

Or squads who will take a more exterminationist route if given the chance (as in, instead of just exorcizing the school in the first game they'd purge everybody there to ensure no corruption gets outside it)

I didn't think too much about the other companies, so this is a lot of interesting food for thought!

I'm kind of surprised that Inyouchuu doesn't have some version of the thing from the Berserk manga where, if you're killed/corrupted by demonic forces, your soul will go to their realm when you die.

Feels like it would be a win/win in terms of horror (no escape from the evil) and eroticism (no end to the carnal madness, although I would assume a soul can't have demon babies)

Too Biblical for Inyouchuu I guess? haha.

So now that I have played all the routes, I have a new headcanon about Momo

I think she has some version of what happened to Sui in the "Useless" route going on, where she's actually a human demon and that's why she can treat lesser demons as tame animals and disregard Nightmare's magic in the joke ending. Clearly she got incredibly corrupted at some point in the past, but is still sane because of her relentless positivity/naivety

I love that.

Now you can see why I'd love her to be part of some prequel story, along with Hatsune Shiratori and Kyoko (Rinko's mom). Again, I'm just making this up, but I love picturing them as the original Black Cat's of the 1980's or something.

It does make sense, especially with Kyoko and Momo with the sister duo within the trio, and with the headcanon the shared element of one of the sisters being compromised by the job.

Although I'd change "The 1980's" to "20 Or So Years Ago", because unless it's really important for the events of the first game to take place in 2005 that would mean that Mikoto's mom would be in her 60s now.

Alternate Momo idea (not spoilering because nothing suggests this is true): She's an even more extreme version of what's going on with Takeru's organs, her body is entirely made out of demon bugs.

The original Momo was either captured or heroically sacrificed herself to save the other Black Cats and was devoured by demons, but her spiritual energy was so powerful that some version of her consciouness remained in the demons and now they believe they're Momo.
