Wow, finally the excitement died down. Seemed like sort of a constant onslaught of bot visits for the last 40 hours or so, only a handful of connections going anywhere outside the main page. MAYBE those were a couple of legit visitors since they did seem to be checking interesting pages.

Maybe I should put together an IP analytics database and take records of what they're actually doing in case this happens again. Really couldn't help feeling like it was some sort of scraping attempt, which does make me want to keep that slightly nonstandard 18+ confirmation hurdle in place.

[Edit half an hour later] Okay, ten more "guests." Maybe this is just what we'll be living with now.

Holy crap, I found a MyBB plugin that's a full wiki implementation within the forum context, which is exactly what I wanted to create instead of the practically-another-site wiki we have now.

It's already designed to work with the same Markdown parser that I shoehorned into this forum. And it's last updated in 2016, which some people would consider bad but it means no AI slop was involved!

Anyway, I think I know the next thing I'll be working on.

Nice timing with you almost being done with the board development I believe!

I feel like it's a start - the admin management is nice for example - but it's going to need a major overhaul for the features I want. I think each article should include the quick info entries as its main data, then link separate editable article sections that can be arranged in the table of contents. That way we're less likely to see editing conflicts.

Uh... also, you can't view or create articles. Nobody can. Not even me. I feel like there's a major problem with the permissions that I need to work on!

Now I'm genuinely wondering for how long THE F&#%ING REGISTRATION FORM WAS BROKEN.

Seriously, there was a missing session ID code in the form, and it failed on me while testing a retheme of the registration form. Except, I hadn't deleted that input. It wasn't there in blue-dark either, only in the default theme.

So like... have most people not been physically able to register to this forum until now???

Damn! Very weird...

Is it fixed now? Maybe it's been enough time I can post about the board again on X.

Yep, should be. I just want to switch the default theme over and update a couple more things and then it should be pretty presentable wherever you want to post it.

It's almost weirder that apparently some people could still register despite the bug instead of it just being nobody like one would expect.

I agree, it's bizarre. From what I was able to see, I can't even imagine how you and @Lord_Yamato got in without errors. Logically it shouldn't have been working at all except on the original theme!
