New Features, Bug Reports

New "user" @Ephraim might not have made any posts, but already gave away their scammer status with their profile bio. I decided this time around I'd just ban this "person" instead of deleting, mainly [...]

heh. thinking about that did get a chuckle out of me! sucks there are so many bots/scammers on the internet. But yeah for now at least it might work fine to go back to admin approval, since like you said its not like we have a ton of people joining. Is there no one else from the JAST discord Inyouchuu channel thats interested in it still that hasn't joined yet?

I should post about it again on there. I have a feeling most fans have already jumped ship though, considering that channel has been basically dead for quite a while now.

(It's... an odd feeling to know I'm technically the one who killed it by stealing most of their regular patrons!)

Yeah, I've been wondering if all of JAST (Discord) has slowed down in general? Probably already has been an exodus of people leaving.

@Suiisbestgirl: Ellie and I were talking about this, I still sometimes wonder if some fans are too shy to even admit liking this series. But maybe it is just that most people haven't found their way here, or are too lazy to sign up new accounts, or don't know old forums... I dunno. Bummer. But I'll keep plugging it and we'll continue to get some new regulars hopefully.

Inyouchuu Lover since ~2005~

I was talking to @MineRat some time ago and they suggested I should add some extra help features or optional instructions to this site, and honestly I can kinda see the logic in it. Forums are pretty much second nature to most of us here, but they've been out of "style" for so long that many potential fans just don't have the muscle memory to use one. I wouldn't want to make any major changes to the way the site works, since MyBB is delightfully utilitarian, but maybe some toggleable hints and extra navigation features might improve the experience for some. There's still a few improvements I'd like to make to the way recent posts are presented, etc, too.

@asujina (come on Asu, join us and turn that tag into a user link!) suggested to me a bit ago that some of our content ought to be walled behind registration. I'm still trying to work out logically if it would incentivize people to make accounts or just make them give up entirely, though I do understand the utility of hiding content for the sake of privacy or liability. He's got some old wiki info as well that's pretty much waiting for me to finish making the wiki itself functional. Which I will try to make happen soon!
