All right everybody, last night I was still in heavy Convention Mode, mentally speaking. And this morning I awoke from a dream in which major manufacturer Stern Pinball put out a news bulletin announcing their next game will be an official adaptation of Inyouchuu. Except, based on the information given, it was terrible. Practically just a no-sex AU where the danger is just death and not seedbeddery - not unlike how they released "John Wick" a few years back IRL but due to weird licensing issues they didn't acknowledge any guns anywhere. I even shared the news here on this forum, and from at least the two replies I saw before I woke up, both EchelonV and Suiisbestgirl were disgusted with the design decisions.

Wow, that's crazy, the most recent dream I remember anything about I was a power ranger, that is about all I remember.

Sounds like you need to make a separate thread for nightmares

I don't know, I think most of my dreams just qualify as that by default.
(Ironically, I've never seen Nightmare in a dream yet.)

Yeah, that wouldn't be the SFW kind of Inyouchuu adaptation I'd give seal of approval. XD

And I think I mentioned I'm the same way... like 90% of my dreams are weird/nightmare fuel.

(I don't enjoy the feel of new Stern games anyway. Can't even explain why, I just vastly prefer the feel and feedback of an early 90s Williams. Which is what I shoot for in my own projects of course.)

I think my dreams are scary. The problem is I have so much trouble remembering them it's hard to say. I mostly remember being scared.

Yeah I try to keep a notepad file of them now, I'll wake up and immediately try to take some notes if I recall much. lol

Ahhhh. That was a good one! I can't remember being this excited for a dream in a long time.

Last night, deep within my slumber, I played an Inyouchuu game, of a story I'm not familiar with IRL. Except evidently it was some very high-budget parallel universe version that was a fully animated 3D adventure but still with the same control mechanics. And the entire thing was first-person... including the H scenes. And when it comes to a dream, playing a FP game might as well be just living it myself.

I had decided it was time to play some bad ends, and got the first one in which Mikoto (I assume?) is cornered by a group of possessed human guys, who promptly have their way with her. A purple-haired girl who meets you earlier in the story showed up at that point, freezing in horror upon seeing what was happening. Nightmare was mentioned later on along with some sort of plan he was trying to do, though I never actually saw him.

Technically this was all still within the context of it being a game, so toward the end I realized I really should've been recording it for the sake of catching all the lore, or else I'd have to do the whole thing again. But with all that being said... ultimately it was an Inyouchuu H-scene FROM A FIRST PERSON PERSPECTIVE. The only thing that disappointed me as I woke up was that there were no tentacles involved in this one, but still, it was awesome. The fact that this was my subconscious's excuse to let me just be a cis girl in a dream was the icing on the cake.
