There is still plenty of work to be done on features, as well as updating some back areas of the site to use the new styling, but it's reached the point of being functional enough.

Some areas, such as the full reply composer and some User Control Panel screens, still display the old theme's elements, which generally work on desktop and are often terrible on mobile. Other areas are partially finished and may have some issues. I'll be working on this as quick as I have time.

If you have too many problems with the new theme, you can go to your User Options screen and switch back to the "blue-dark" board style with the last dropdown box. Though, if you choose to do this, I'd appreciate some feedback down below as to what gave you trouble so we can address it. Things like color and background choices may become an option later on, for those who would rather a different aesthetic or a light mode.

I thought it'd be good to have an area dedicated to major new stuff going on. Given the speed of official and fandom activity, I'd doubt this will happen very often, but now we're ready when it does.

One of my planned ideas for the forum homepage is a banner highlighting the latest entry in this announcements subforum, as a sort of instant news section for community visitors. Probably the easiest way to handle creating those posts in the first place is just having a forum for them. And since this is ultimately just a thread like any other, it'll allow for everyone's comments as well, though making new posts here is locked to admins and mods.
