Inyouchuu is a notoriously graphic R-18 exorcist franchise produced by Studio TinkerBell. The title roughly translates as "Lewd Demon Bugs" or "Lustful Demon Insects," though it has been officially localized to English as "Insects of Insemination" by JAST USA.

The multiple-line-crossing absurdity of the series debut subsequently earned it a worldwide cult following, several animated adaptations, seven more games, a collection of novels, a few mangas, and a bunch of physical decorations for EchelonV's house.

Content-wise, whatever makes you uncomfortable, this series has it. Virtually every piece of official media can be tagged with an extensive list of off-the-deep-end fetishes. It can be described as having something for everyone - though, given its intensely graphic nature, it also requires a willingness to acknowledge (and ignore) any content you aren't comfortable with. While the series is particularly infamous for its graphic and violent sexual moments, it nonetheless balances its extreme horror alongside events both hilarious and heartwarming.

The series began in 2005 after about a year of relatively lucrative development of the original visual novel, based in the same universe as TinkerBell's earlier game, Hanamaru!.

Inyouchuuverse is a collaborative effort to preserve the history and community around TinkerBell's absurd universe and save it from being lost to the insatiable tentacles of time. We also strive to provide an all-encompassing reference for the games, characters, and storylines that make up this series of misadventures, alongside the passionate contributions of its fandom.

The Extended Universe

There are several games in the Inyouchuu series itself, alongside a handful of other games with different characters that are still set within the same universe.

1. Hanamaru! ["Flower Circle!", 2004] - The original Hanamaru! was a cute and lighthearted moege, with very little dark content to speak of. However, it created the universe that drives the rest of the games, leaving hints of vastly darker elements yet to come. It sets up the concept of magical beings - good and evil - and introduces readers to the Shunjuu Academy high school, a place that played a major role in Inyouchuu.
2. Chou no Yume ["Butterfly's Dream", 2005] - A story set in the 17th century, that is later referenced in Hanamaru 2.
3. Inyouchuu ~Ryoujoku Gakuen Taimaroku~ ["Lustful Demon Insects: Defiled Academy Exorcism Record", 2005] - The game that started the worldwide sensation. The original Inyouchuu builds upon Hanamaru!'s setting, in which the school has been receiving reports of dark and evil monsters appearing at night. The Black Cat Demon-Hunting Agency is hired to take the case, introducing the iconic characters that the franchise is best known for, such as main protagonist Mikoto Shiratori.
4. Inyouchuu Shoku ~Ryoushokutou Taimaroku~ ["Lustful Demon Insects, Erosion: Island of Violation Exorcism Record", 2006] - The immediate sequel to the first Inyouchuu, in which the exorcist team - now including Sui Kayama - responds to a call for help from a resort island at which there have been reports of mysterious disappearances of tourists. This game introduces the twin girls Ouka Tsukishiro and Kikuka Tsukishiro, two very popular characters who made appearances in several non-Inyouchuu games since.
5. Kowaku no Toki ["The Bewitching Moment", 2007] - While not directly part of the continuity of the Inyouchuu series itself, Kowaku is set in the same universe. It introduces some new forms of youma, and serves as a side adventure for the Tsukishiro twins.
6. Hanamaru! 2 ["Flower Circle! 2", 2008] - A significantly more comedic game, featuring characters from all previous Aojiru games. Despite its much lighter tone, it still includes Aojiru's signature extreme H scenes as optional encounters.
7. Inyouchuu Etsu ~Kairaku Henka Taimaroku~ ["Lustful Demon Insects, Ecstasy: Demonic Transformation and Exorcism Record", 2009] - The third Inyouchuu title digs into Yamato Tachibana's backstory and past, as well as introducing some new characters and origins. The game itself had a darker tone than other Inyouchuu games, and multiple design decisions sat very poorly with the community. The next game in the series effectively retconned it as non-canon, though some of its new characters remained popular with fans.
8. Mouryou no Nie ["Monster's Sacrifice", 2010] - Following an ancient war between humans and monsters that ended with the monsters sealed in a mountain, a group of exorcists and humanlike monsters take on the task of preventing the disaster from happening again. The game shares many similarities to Inyouchuu itself; some speculate that it was intended to be the next Inyouchuu game but was backtracked due to the poor reception of Etsu.
