Id like to see JAST localize another game already, every october i keep thinking, surely this year they will announce the next one? im curious about how well the first one sold for JAST though. Kyou would definitely be nice(Is that the one that takes place in a hospital? or at least i assumed one of them takes place in a hospital but i can't read japanese)but id imagine if they brought another one out it would probably be the next one in the series first. since im not too familiar with the original game over the remake, im curious if there are any noticeable differences asides from the art/backgrounds obviously being different. are any of the scenes different? I really enjoyed the first game more then i thought, i mean i mainly got into the series for the h-scenes initially(i like aojiros art, also one of the few things with scat in it) but I liked the good endings

(well mostly good ending, poor Takeru but at least shes still alive) and some of the bad endings were pretty interesting(especially that Sui ending where she uses the demon powers she is given to kill everyone after having sex with them, including imp not even being able to match her power anymore, but ill have to go off on a tangent about that Sui ending and why i like it in detail some other time) <---also is there a way to spoiler tag parts of a message? cause if i have to do that i can, i imagine most of the people here have already read the first game but if not i can delete/edit the spoilers out of the post. but yeah back on topic i really want to know what happens next to everyone and also it seems like later games introduce more characters which should be interesting(oh also the joke ending with the school nurse and nightmare was so funny XD. was not expecting that in Inyouchuu LOL. kinda made me wish we could see more of her but im guessing this is the only game she appears in?)

as for an OVA, I seem to recall some of the older ones having some nice animated scenes(i really do need to watch those again sometime) and not to be a downer but with hentai in its current state, good animation is pretty much dead at this point, it seems like no budget is going into hentai anymore. so personally id be pretty sad if we got one in the current era of hentai animation, hopefully one day something will change and we can see quality animation again like in the early 2000s, that was probably the peak of good hentai animation when there was so much stuff coming out that was good from studios like Mary Jane, collaboration works, t-rex, etc. Swing Out Sister, the x Cation series(wish those games could get a translation someday),Pandra,Resort Boin, anything collaboration works was doing back then like Eroge! H mo game mo Kaihatsu Zanmai 1-4, Mankitsu Happening, the first 2 episodes of Nuki Doki! etc. well i could list a lot more, but honestly i could almost make a seperate topic for that later, the point being, there was good stuff coming out from some of those studios, and then at a certain year, suddenly they stopped making good stuff, episode 5 and 6 of Eroge! were pretty dissapointing from what i recall although i don't remember them too well, and then there was the fall of PoRo, they used to do some good stuff with Oni Chichi, but then they started doing these long 3-6 minutes!!! slow text crawls at the start of each episode where nothing happens as some plot no one cares about is explained in the most boring and insulting way possible, and thats in an episode thats only 16 minutes long to begin with! more and more, it just seems like all the remaining studios have slowly become more like queen bee(really stiff "animation") and the episode lengths got drastically shorter from before on top of that. my point is if a new inyouchuu hentai came out now it would almost certainly be dissapointing. also now that i think about it, when was the last time a modern hentai had anything really disturbing in it? we used to get stuff like night shift nurses, euphoria, or Kowaku no Toki(okay that one grossed me out quite a bit lol, but im glad we could get extreme stuff like that back then still) it seems like hentai animation just doesn't sell enough to justify any sort of budget or risks taken these days. also even the old episodes of inyouchuu weren't nearly as disturbing as a lot of the in game CGs from what i recall and they didn't animate a single scat scene(it was pretty niche in hentai animation even back then but now it just doesn't exist basically)

I ended up going on about NSFW animation for longer then i intended whoops, feel free to skim through the wall of text. im just a bit picky sometimes about nsfw stuff especially animation. oh but I was also curious, you mentioned Hanamaru 2 right Eschelon V? where can i find the post where JAST mentions bringing it over? hopefully it comes out soon, im a bit worried about it since they still haven't released SUMAGA after all these years and yet they keep saying its still being worked on so hopefully its not in limbo(and i want to hope someday SUMAGA will come out but it seems really weird that game just hasn't come out for at least a good 14+ years at this point since it was announced but JAST insists they still haven't dropped it yet???) also are we getting the first game too or just the second? it would be really weird if they skipped the first game, but not the first time they have done that as its happened with a lot of other VN releases before, like Real Eroge Situation 2 and DT getting released in english but still no first game, the second Role player game getting an english release(i think its not coming out until may? hopefully they go back and release the first one in english though, its got some really good animated h-scenes and that second one is not nearly as good)

• I've heard that JAST was planning on doing Shoku according to one member on their Discord server, though that's all I know. Based on the fact they have a dedicated Inyouchuu channel, I'd be willing to bet the first English release was at least decently lucrative, so there's that.

• The hospital story is indeed Kyou as far as I'm aware.

• As an overview, the original game and remake are the same "story" on the surface, but there are tons of differences in the actual game outside of just the art. I recognize a few of those names you listed, makes me realize a lot of the well-known stuff is indeed the older ones. Personally I'm not into scat and tend to look away when the unavoidable moment comes up, but that's the thing about this series - it truly has something for everyone who's willing to accept that there's probably something they don't like too. Suiisbestgirl: Great stuff. I am pretty sure we'll see Momo again in Hanamaru 2 at least. And yeah, Ellie shared the X post about them announcing it. Going on about two years now. I think Jiburiru has been in stasis for a few years too and I've been wanting to play that one.

I do think Hanamaru 2 is mostly self contained at least. Selfishly I kind of love this is next too, since the CG is hardcore Shoku era stuff. Can't wait to see it uncensored. But yeah... taking awhile on this one. But I'll always believe!

I remember hearing Tinker Bell had a two game deal with them. But Bloodnose implied that he was surprised and happy about Shin Inyochu's reception. I think it did well. I've also noticed on the new JAST store they're working on, we might be able to gift people games now. I'd consider it here and there, not to skew the data though. I still encourage everyone to buy it. I think them still having the Discord channel up probably for Hanamaru 2 is a good sign. Hopefully after that we see more Tinker Bell / Aojiru games picked up and especially Inyouchuu. I wouldn't be opposed to other companies, as long as they do a good job too and uncensor the CG's. Kyou is my dream for now but I'd love Shoku too and that is the next game story wise, so who knows.

The OVA industry is definitely in its worst state I've ever seen as a long time hentai fan. So I sadly agree... it might be better off we don't even see another Inyouchuu OVA anytime soon in this era. Like that second Shoku Hayami one, I'm not sure who wants another Flash animated styled 15 minute episode of something. It's crazy there's 8 games and only 3 main OVA's after all these years. It was all going well during Pixy-Soft's peak. I've always felt that the animation team (Studio ZOL maybe) who did Sexy Magical Girl Ai, and Himekishi Lilia for Pixy, would have been perfect for Kyou. Their girls had such a good detailed look and they did the stomach bulging so damn well... which would be amazing in Kyou's scenes. Gyuki!

I love the bull scenes in Kowaku! It is crazy how far that OVA went, for PoRo who never really did extreme fetishes. I've always wished Momoko would make a cameo in an Inyouchuu. She has such a hot design.

the bad ends in the remake of 1 or the original 1? since only 1 game is in english so far, i wanted to make sure I 100% it and get all the endings/routes done before the next game... and now im still waiting XD. but I actually have a pretty huge backlog of other VNs and other games to play still, and ive had it happen before where I am thinking about how id love if the sequel to some existing game comes out in english and then it comes out and im not even ready for it as i still haven't finished reading/playing the first one lol. so when Inyouchuu came out after not having finished all of it in like a year or so, i decided to go back for the other endings and whatnot. I like the way you unlock other routes slowly as sometimes it feels like a nice surprise when i think ive read everything and then theres more routes or endings to see still. the other endings in VNs like this where things can go horribly wrong can be really interesting since i never really know what could happen.

I also felt like all the bad endings just served to make the villians and nightmare seem that much more intimidating, and when he finally gets taken out in the good endings it feels so satisfying cause its like they really managed to survive against all odds/all those other possiblities. i did find a few of the routes depressing and one of them almost felt like a bit of a slog to get through at times but it also did a good job i felt at really making me feel the despair and that sense of existential dread of just life being dragged out in the worst/most torturous possible way(the one where Mikoto ends up getting pregnant in the bathroom and they just throw the baby out and then imp kills everyone)[/spoilers]

whoops looks like i wrote a big text wall again, well i don't usually talk about this stuff anywhere so now i finally get to type out some of my thoughts on stuff like this. ill try to type briefer responses in the future, at this point i really should have introduced myself by now as a lot of my general thoughts on stuff kinda ties into that where i could explain how i got into Inyouchuu.

also im a lazy asshole and completely abandoned my inyouchu vs shin compassion which did include story details, but there are some major plot differences. Also characterization is a little different, though this could just be from comparing a shitty mtl to a real localization.

Id like to see Kyou too, especially since its got some nice Sui scenes from what i remember. Also good point, whatever studio did those probably would be a good choice, also not sure how you would feel about it but what about something directed by Murakami? personally i could almost see that being a decent fit with his frantic camera that shakes a lot and whatnot giving off some pretty intense vibes, not to mention he doesn't shy away from some more extreme stuff although im not sure if he would do guro? but having the girls get covered in ridiculous loads of cum and pee and all that he is definitely not afraid of.

ohhh yeah! i was a bit sad to find out Rinko isn't in the first game, and now that you mention the friendship between her and Sui I really do need to see that!  I hope we do get Shoku, id imagine that would make the most sense if its the next one storywise. i always get the order of them mixed up so I thought the next one was Etsu, when is that one in the timeline? i seem to remember you said Etsu is the one you don't like much right?

One thing that amazes me with the villains and Nightmare himself is how he doesn't care about the characters at all. They're just "girl" this and that. And yeah that's a good take, all of the endings typically being bad in the eroge just makes the demons all the more evil for what they're capable of.

And your last point haha, yeah. Inyouchuu can be "funny" like that (wrong word) when sometimes it's not the most graphic bad ending that get under your skin the most. There were a few moments with dragged out depressing parts. I know I'm in for a bad time whenever I see a bathroom. LOL

I am kind of neutral on Murakami but I do LOVE the first Taimanin Asagi OVA. Episode 1 with the tentacle room... why couldn't we have more of that? He would have done an Inyouchuu justice. I want the Himekishi Lilia style for Kyou, maybe Murakami for something else. Well Goku does have maybe the most monster fucking, so that might work for him! hah

Yeah, Rinko is first introduced in Kyou (4). So it was neat they gave her a new cameo in Shin/Remake. She's been new popular main character since her introduction.

Inyouchuu Etsu (my only complicated feeling with this one is that original creator/director Hayami had nothing to do with it, it lacks Sui, Ouka, Kikuka, and is rather tame CG wise)
Inyouchuu Gaidens/Kyou (Hayami's big comeback, I hear this was even publicized to hype it up. I consider this the start of the "2nd gen" era and was the first widescreen Inyouchuu)
Inyouchuu Goku
Inyouchuu Shin/Remake (Hayami's last one, still to this day ...
Inyouchuu Shuu (3rd current gen)
Inyouchuu Wai

So that's how it goes, but yeah there are some complications now for those like myself taking the Inyouchuu lore too seriously haha:

• OG vs Shin. As some of us have noticed, they change a few things up, so what's really cannon? But at least the core story and character arcs, like Takeru's issues, are carried over.
• Etsu can almost be seen as like an alternate side story now that Hayami completely ignored with Kyou. I almost wonder if Kyou could be licensed next and played without Shoku's knowledge too to some extent, just from a marketing standpoint, like each game is somewhat of an entry point. But Shoku is probably super vital to the main story, plus introduces Ouka and Kikuka who become main characters basically. CG wise Shoku is still really damn good and hot, it definitely birthed a lot of Inyouchuu's core explicit features (pun intended).
• Hayami fleshed out a lot of stuff between Goku and the Shin DLC (JAST hasn't licensed sadly) that was for the White Cat Brigade, then Ai and Aki whom have been tricked into believing the Shiratori clan are their arch nemesis. This stuff is left completely unfinished with Inyouchuu Shuu and Wai feeling like more side stories. On one hand I like that TB respects Hayami's story to not finish it themselves, but now it's left us on a big cliffhanger with Ai's stuff. 

Also one funny fact, despite the series being 20 years old now, I think maybe only 2 years max, if even, have passed in its timeline haha. I think each game usually takes place in a new season. Never wanna age the girls up too much. Funny to think if the series still takes place in like 2008 - 2009 or something. lol
