This honestly describes my history with this series really well. I knew for a long time that the OVAs I liked were based on VNs, but mostly I wasn't interested in trying the games. The CG collections only highlighted the H content, which is of course going to be mostly extreme in this series, and I was under the impression that the only thing I'd get from the games is content I wasn't really interested in anyway. But I still wanted to support the creators in some way since there were parts I did like, so I ended up buying the Inyochu localization from JAST when it went on sale in front of my face. And like I wrote in my intro post, I ended up being friends with the community, finally took the plunge and chose to play the game, and fell far more in love with it than I had ever expected.

I'm not sure why I had that opinion initially, since the lore looked interesting to me for as long as I knew there was lore, but that's the way it went down.

Also have to agree on not "getting" futa stuff. It's got an audience, certainly one that is welcome here on this site, but I personally don't see the draw of a character having both reproductive traits. (Aside from Mikoto's self-impregnation in the first manga! I'll definitely agree with Random that that's an interesting and original idea!) There was a closed-minded time in my life when the idea of an otherwise female character having a penis absolutely disgusted me... the painful irony in hindsight LMAO... but these days I really don't mind that in moderation. so I didn't think id be interested in writing fanfic initially, but im actually kinda contemplating it now, its been a long time since ive written anything yet ive always enjoyed writing, and I had some ideas pop into my head suddenly for a potential crossover fanfic scenario, granted since i haven't been writing much im worried the result probably won't be very good, but i ended up writing a bunch of notes on different ideas i had for the stories and h-scenes with different characters. one problem with me writing inyouchuu fanfic though is that i don't have as deep of a knowledge of the series as others here, so im a bit worried about some potential inconisistencies in world building or how i interpret the characters, granted at the end of the day if there is a certain h-scene i want to write then id probably end up writing more around that even if it does come at the extent of accuracy of the characters(though hopefully not too much so) since i only have the first game to go off of theres a lot of characters and villians that I probably won't incorporate or that i don't know about, and i wanted my crossover story to take place after the events of the first Inyouchuu so at least Sui is already a part of the team but that means nightmare has already been defeated.

I was thinking maybe i could have a new Inyouchuu style of villian but if i could get a summary or some knowledge of some of the other villians that have been in the series i figure that might help a bit with giving me some idea of what other villians in the series have been like. I should probably watch the anime episodes again since those are subbed at least. anyways the idea I had was what if I actually did write a story about Mikoto and the others meeting up with Reco and Palm from Mushi Futari? I was thinking maybe the first part would take place in the inyouchuu world in a mountain/forest area with a Tengu demon with a long phallic nose possibly? as well as the spider miniboss from stage 4 of futari and some other encounters(maybe a giant honey bee that covers them in some kinda honey aphrodisiac/sticky oil?) with of course some tentacles as well and whatnot. since id probably just write it here, i was even thinking maybe i could use different spoiler tags to contain bad ends like one of those choose your own adventure stories -so one spoiler tag would have a 1. above it and another below it would have a 2, click the one based on what you want to choose.

I guess also i may have gotten ahead of myself by just thinking up more and more ideas to the point where i basically have 3 seperate stories in mind now, so i actually thought of the second part first, its supposed to be a christmas special where Sui and the others meet up with Reco again but this time in the world of futari, in stage 2 with the ice and snow and the giant cuttlefish boss specifically(the giant turtle midboss will also likely make an appearance)

as for the last story, i might do it first because it should be the shortest and ill try to keep it simple with no real branching endings and just one h-scene, basically while Sui is writing in her journal after the events of the first part, she reminicises about an incident in the summer. her and takeru are hanging out at the beach, later they go swimming and Mikoto loses her top, causing Yamato to nosebleed and fall unconcious. she hides behind some inlet that yamato ends up at(not sure how exactly - was thinking either by being dragged by the waves after passing out or maybe sui somehow managed to carry him there to make sure he didn't drown while hiding from the others since her top came undone or broke somehow) Yamato wakes up but has a big bulge in his swimsuit that Sui notices, the 2 end up having sex and Mikoto and takeru find them, they argue and head home since its dark out now, Takeru carries Sui on her back and can't help but feel a bit embarrassed having Suis bare breast pressed against her back. well thats the basic initial idea so far anyway, i didn't spend as much time thinking about this one yet but if i do end up writing any of these maybe this would be a good one to start on since it just has the one scene to focus on writing. oh yeah no Reco or palm in this one, should keep it simpler having less characters around -although seeing Reco in a summer swimsuit would be cute!

The general response I have to that whole post is basically "Do iittttt!"

But I'll address a few bits individually. Being a largely JP-only series, Inyouchuu can be quite hard to gain a full lore context, and there's nothing wrong with pushing ahead with your creativity even if you might be off with a few details. If you're worried about it, just drop an author's note that there'll be some canon discrepancies. Truth be told, I'm sure many people who enjoy the series are primarily in it for the H content anyway. This is a great excuse to kick me into working on the wiki, which will probably be a great resource for those chasing lore, and I promise I'll get to it when I have time!

There are tons of possibilities for bosses and villains, and I'm sure we'd all love to check out whatever you may write. You can certainly post your story as a thread here, though one thing on my Inyouchuuverse roadmap is a user submissions feature that would allow you to have dedicated fanart/fanfic posts. One of the plans for that is specifically multiple chapters and endings, with a sort of pseudo-VN experience to advance through them. So you might be a big user of that feature. I will too, I have a whole VN-style story planned for later.

That last idea is pretty cute, and definitely one of those slightly lewd slice-of-life moments I could easily see being canon. Excited to see what you create!

I'll just note for now to remember that the OVA's are kind of the PG versions. The villains just seem horny or hungry, both, and the girls seem to end up in a mind break situation that appears a little happy in pervy ways. That's a rather happy ending compared to the games LOL. But if that's the tone you want, all power to you. I'm just totally in my darkest era right now and like how sadistic the villains seem in the game, from Shin and the little we know about the others.

So I came up with a fanfic idea I have no confidence in being able to effectively write myself (my dalliances have all been of the plotless smut variety), but felt like an effective way to expand the Inyouchuu setting a little while also giving the plot of Shoku a bit more depth.

We all know the sad story of Kikui and Ouka's mother, Tsukishiro Shizuka, right? Powerful shrine maiden who surrendered to Meiouki to save her village, got raped and eaten, and then Meiouki used the power stolen from her to curse her daughters with immortality so he could make them suffer eternally as his slaves later?

I always thought it was kind of weird that Meiouki never used that power on the mother herself, even if he does just have a straight up lolicon fetish. Why waste perfectly good breeding material? 

So I thought of, based on what I know about the Shoku story, one of a few alternatives:

One is that Meiouki kept Tsukishiro alive as his immortal "bride", the centuries passing for her in a catatonic haze due to the nonstop rape. When the Black Cats come across his island and stop his plans, they also save her, and probably thanks to Sui, restore her functional mind. Thus, she has a sort of Steve Rogers-esque experience of waking up to find out that centuries have passed, unlike her daughters that got to live through changing times.

The Second is that Meiouki had no choice but to devour her to steal her powers, but is not satisfied with that outcome, so his plan of luring girls to the island to steal their energy turn into seedbeds is about more than just power for the sake of it, he's trying to find a vessel that he can resurrect Tsukishiro's soul inside of, so he can have his immortal bride and his power at the same time.

The Third and most out there thought is similar to the first, except that the Tsukishiro falls into embracing the role of Meiouki's bride, becoming his accomplice and an evil counterpart to Hatsune Shiratori. This idea is the thinnest and is only based on my desire of wanting more fallen heroines in these sorts of stories who enjoy the depraved demon/tentacle sex without completely losing their sanity (even if I also enjoy the mindbreak trope).

Addendum to the third scenario: Extra possibility for Tsukishiro is that she rationalizes her heel turn as her "pacifying" Meiouki by satisfying his lust and hunger for spiritual energy, and that if her daughters and their friends surrendered themselves to youma-kind they would prevent many more women from being hunted.

Yeah, you put a lot more thought into these scenarios than I do just wanting to write bad endings basically. Your fallen heroes appreciation and #2 there gives a bit more meaning to the endless sex acts. These are pretty cool ideas. I encourage you to write away! You won't know until you try if you can pull it off. Maybe map out a blueprint or something, but yeah. As always just write when the mood hits and all my stuff so far is 110% horneyville... lol.

I've always had this real basic idea that it'd be so cute to see Hatsune turned into a loli and mixed in with her daughters at some point. lol
