Ippo, Slam Dunk, Hikaru no Go, Touch... some of my favorite sports anime off the top of my head. It can be a pretty cool genre for anime actually, when I don't care about sports at all IRL.

I love Ippo and Hikaru No Go. They actually did a really amazing live action of Hikaru No Go. It was made in China and is currently on Amazon. I'm not sure what Touch is though.

Touch is 80's baseball, it's more like a drama similar to Maison Ikkoku. You might like it. The creator has done some other series over the years.

I remember now, I think I have the opening or at least a cover on my Spotify. I will keep in mind as I do enjoy a good sports series.

Interesting, I'll have to check it out soon. It is pretty cool when studios skip the traditional hurdles and create something on their own.

Yeah, I really want to support it because it's being release FREE with ads and separate from the regular streaming services so we can break up the monopoly Crunchyroll has.

Now granted Youtube is still its own kettle of BS.

I love Toku dearly. In fact, I came to this thread to post about a magical girl series today, speak of the EchelonV. I know everyone is busy as hell and has different tastes, but if you get the chance check out "Precure Star Detectives". The franchise has been in a bit of a rut for the last 5 or years and it's nice to see them finally put any actually good series.
Yes, there are only 4 episodes out right now. But it at least feels like they're trying harder to be good than they have in quite a while, well except for 2024's Wonderful Precure. That was great,
I really want to boost for it because I want to support them not sucking.

ive been keeping up with star detective precure! and pretty much just that for new stuff lol. ive been watching through every precure series over the years, and im currently on Hugtto Precure which seems really promising so far. I even like some of the less loved seasons though, like dokidoki, mahoutsukai, Happiness Charge(actually one of my favourites),Suite, and even Kirakira(I liked the characters a lot, also cure chocolate and macaron were awesome and even had some good yuri moments) ive also seen sailor moon and card captor sakura. big magical girl fan! but theres lots of classic magical girl anime i still gotta watch sometime. its nice to see some precure fans here! what would you say is the best and worse precure series?

I remember Hikaru no go! i always meant to check it out more. i had a friend who was really into Go and he liked reading/watching that too haha. its a really neat board game!
